Taderera Enterprises is excited to announce a new collaboration with Angela and Gayle from Wide Bay Kids to launch the Social365 Project. This initiative, funded by The Social Shift, aims to positively impact mental health and loneliness by encouraging more meaningful face-to-face connection and social interaction among Gen-Z and Millennial young adults in the Bundaberg region.

What is Social365?

Social365 is a unique initiative developed by Wide Bay Kids, who have successfully delivered numerous projects requiring engaging digital content and strategic marketing initiatives. This time, they have engaged Taderera Enterprises to partner and deliver the project together.

Seeing how loneliness and social isolation can impact mental health inspired “Social365,” a fresh new project that highlights the amazing social, community and sporting groups in the Bundaberg region.

Social365 is all about getting people involved in local groups to create a stronger, more connected community. Social, community and sporting groups play a pivotal role in improving social lives and building great relationships. This project will focus on sharing real-life stories to show the benefits of social interactions, 365 days a year.

To learn more about the project and its goals, check out our recent interview with 7 News, where we discuss the importance of community engagement and the objective of Social365.

Who We’re Helping

Social365 specifically targets young adults aged 18-35 in the Bundaberg region. Mental health and loneliness are significant issues within this age group. Research indicates that nearly 39% of Australians aged 16-24 and 26% of those aged 25-34 experience a mental disorder within a 12-month period. Additionally, about one in three young adults report feeling lonely three or more times a week (AIHW) (Pursuit).

Our Mission and Goals

The primary goals of Social365 are to help reduce social isolation, improve mental well-being and strengthen community bonds. With support from The Social Shift, we’re highlighting the positive impacts of community involvement and equipping individuals with the resources needed to build meaningful relationships.

Benefits of Community Involvement

Being part of a community, sport or social group has numerous benefits. It fosters a sense of belonging, reduces feelings of loneliness and improves mental health. Participants often develop new friendships, gain a support network and find increased motivation and self-esteem through these interactions. Being part of a community group also provides opportunities for personal growth and can support other areas of life, such as employment and education.
